GORGEOUS VINTAGE HIGHEST QUALITY STERLINGSEVEN (7) PIECE TEA & COFFE SET Being offered for sale fresh from an estate is this extra large 7 piece set of the highest quality sterling tea and coffee set by the small New York firm; Graff, Washbourne, and Dunn. They were small but famous for high quality pieces. They were founded in 1899 and were bought out in 1961 by the famous Gorham Company. Based on the other high quality items found in the estate, I would date this set to ca 1950s. This fabulous set is quality through and though! The weight is a good indication of quality and this set all together weights an astonishing 14 ¾ pounds (236 oz)(6,690.6 grams)!!! Another major selling point of this exceptional Federal style set is that the huge tray is sterling too! Often you find great sets of sterling only to find the tray to be silver plate. More great news, this fantastic set is everything just short of mint. The only very very minor concern is that the burner's snuffer half with handle and due to the weight of the handle, doesn't line up perfectly with the other half. That is it! T are no deep/concerning scratches, no dents, dimples, and no monograms either. The simple Federal and elegant style is so beautifully crafted and will diffidently go with any and all décor. From Victorian, Arts & Crafts, to modern! This set would be a real joy to use serving family and guests as well as beautifully displayed in your cabinet or on your server.
