ITEM DESCRIPTION Original Disney Animation Model Sheets From Former Disney
Animator John Sparey Terrific 'The Autograph Hound' animation sheets. 'Hound' was a Donald Duck film. They are from the Walt Disney Animation Studio. These older ones are rather scarce. They were produced at the studio to help the various animators understand the correct proportion on how to draw the characters. They measure 3 different sizes - 10" x 12.5", 11" x 14", and 12" x 15.5". Please note these are not copies, they are the actual items as used at Disney.These are actual photostat printed model sheet. We guarantee they are not a modern reproduction of any kind. They would look great framed. T are no tears at all, but due to their age, t is some light rippling of the paper, though they lay rather flat. 4 of the sheets are on a glossy like, heavier paper stock. The other 4 are on normal paper. You will receive 8 in this auction. We have seen other Disney model sheets on eBay but feel the provenance with this and the others we will be listing assures you of authenticity. We are also starting these much lower, trusting the market to set the price. A little more about John Sparey - he started out working on Disney shorts in the 1950s, including the dragon sequence at the end of Sleeping Beauty. is a link to IMDB which has a lot of John's credits, but does not include Sleeping Beauty. We have other evidence he worked on that film, including John telling me stories about his cleanup work on the dragon sequence. /name/nm0816928/ . Please do a Google search to learn more about John and his artistic animation creations. We have another lot up now with 35 pounds of his original drawings, sketches, notes, and more. Please note we will be listing hundreds more of these model sheets from Pinocchio, Snow White, Dumbo, Fantasia, Lady & The Tramp, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Mickey & the Beanstalk, and numerous shorts, 1930s-1950s.
