~Franciscan USA~ Eight + One Free Crescent Side Plates I am pleased to offer for your consideration this vintage hand painted set of Franciscan Ivy Crescent Bone Plates (also sometimes referred to as crescent salad dishes or side plates). The original purpose of these pieces was to collect chicken or other meat bones, shrimp peelings, artichoke leaves and other refuse from the dinner plate. T are eight (8) of these dishes and they are in beautiful condition, looking as if they were never used. Marked on the back with Gladding McBean & Co ~ Franciscan ~ USA. You see 9 in the photo and that is because 8 are in excellent condition with no utensil marks and none of the three c's (crazing, chips, cracks) and 1 does have a chip so I am throwing that one in FREE! Why not use that one as an underplate for a plant in the kitchen window? Heck, for free you can even feed the critters (dog,cat) with it! It is very difficult to find this many all together and the versatile handpainted IVY pattern would work wonderfully at your holiday table with your other hand painted Ivy settings. I am starting these at less than just one would cost at the popular replacement china stores and absolutely no reserve so don't miss this rare opportunity. They aren't making any more like these! Shipping is immediate upon receipt of cleared payment and is based on the 8 pound rate since the flat rate box isn't big enough to package these safely. I accept money orders issued by the US Postal Service ; they are the safest and can be cashed at the post office, preventing me from using an extra 30 miles worth of fuel to get to the bank in town. Shipping Info ~ Your item(s) will be very carefully wrapped and shipped promptly - usually within 24 hours of receipt of payment providing the post office is open! USPS Priority is the usual shipment method with FREE delivery confirmation. On exceptionally large or heavy items you may choose parcel post but please be aware that the 2-9 day estimate given can actually take up to 30 days in peak seasons...it sits on the dock while all the priority mail gets loaded and delivered, sometimes days or weeks, only to move when t is space left on the truck after all the priority and express is loaded. Insurance is recommended and encouraged but optional on most items. I do reserve the right to require insurance on extremely fragile, delicate or pricey items. Feedback ~Feedback is always given and will be left once I know you have received and are happy with your package. Please let me know immediately if t is any problem & do not leave feedback until we have had a chance to rectify any problem.
