This is a very old 8 GALLON Western stoneware crock by WESTERN STONEWARE COMPANY OF MAMMOTH ILLINOIS. The crock was found wrapped in a old quilt in my aunts barn. It has no cracks or chips. The crock is about 40 lbs, 16" tall and 13 1/2" diameter. T is a big MAPLE leaf on center front, the number 8 is above the leaf. Under the leaf is a oval circle with these words, WESTERN MONMOUTH ILL. T is a small (1"X1/8") mark on the back. I think it is brown paint, I didn't want to remove it and damage the finish of the crock. The buyer will be able and have the knowledge to eliminate this little stain. The inside has no cracks or stains. The bottom shows signs of age, probably from scooting around. Buyer is responsible for shipping and handling costs. Insurance charges too. I perfer PAYPAL , but will accept a money order or cashiers check. Will ship within one day of cleared payment. Sellers return policy: ITEM MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN 7 DAYS
