Eight real photo postcards of a train wreck. Cards are unused and are undated. No information on the cards as to w the wreck occurred or when it did occur. However, some clues exist in the cards. First, one of the engines is marked Oregon Short Line. Second, one of the cars is marked Built New 1-10 which I would presume means it was manufactured in 1910. It appears to be a head-on collision between engines 1254 and 1288. Those are the numbers on the coal tenders...does that indicate engine number or just coal tender number? The only reference to a head-on collision for the Oregon Short Line was in 1913 at Soda Springs, Idaho. Please note that the auction is only for the 8 postcards. The two cabinet photos are of the same accident but are on a separate auction listing. They are for reference only. The eight cards are generally in good condition, one has a small piece missing in the lower right hand corner, some soiling to several of them. Divided back. T are several duplicates in the group. I will combine shipping so if you want to bid on the two cabinet photos you won't have to pay an extra mailing cost. S&H for the 8 cards is $2.50
