Offered are 8 Vintage Hall China Co. Autumn Leaf Pattern Flat Soup Bowls . Manufactured by Hall for the J ewel Tea Company Stores in Illinois and then other states, Autumn Leaf was introduced in 1938 and was made until 1976. It is among the longest manufactured patterns by any pottery. The 8-1/2 inch Flat Rimmed Soup Bowls were in the original shapes manufactured for sale at the Jewel Stores and Home Delivery Service. The pattern is of leaves and flowers gently turning to fall colrs on a off-white base color. The rim is gently articulated into waves with 6 large sections each separated by a smaller wave. The rim is gold gilt. These 8 Flat Soup Bowls are in very good condition. The gold edging is in very good condition with little wear on three bowls. The other 5 bowls also have bright gold, but have worn areas ranging from 1/4 inch to 1-1/2 inches. We condsider 'worn' as being anything less than perfect. The gold is intact in all areas, not completely worn off - just not perfect. T are NO chips, NO cracks, NO crazing and NO fleabites. T are very few utensil marks. Each bowl is marked with 'Superior Hall Quality Dinnerware' 'Tested and Approved by Mary Dunbar Jewel Homemakers Institute' Thanks for looking!
