80s Gerber Bowie Stag BMF/LMF SS 440C Blade Knife NMC

This Gerber Stag knife is 14 1/2" overall and has a 9 1/2" blade made from 1/4" 440C Stainless Steel stock, a double brass hilt that measures about 2 3/4" wide and 1/2" thick. The handle is a straight and very smooth piece of beautiful Sambar stag that balances the knife perfectly. The satin finished blade is near mint in condition and does not show any noticeable scuff marks worth mention. The knife and brown leather sheath are both in excellent to near mint condition and were a short run offering from Gerber in the mid 80's based on the BMF/LMF styled blade and few were made before their production ended. This one came from a knife and gun show that was held this past weekend in Tyler, Texas.
