For your bidding is a ROSTFREI folder from Italy. This knife is from the 1980s. It is lightly used and in excellent shape. It has wooden handles, brass bolsters, and an interesting lock that is in perfect shape. It is a great vintage italian knife in great shape. Please look at the pictures.Well, I promised you a story, it is...In the 1980s New York City was a much more dangerous place than it is now. Times square was a scary place, not the Disneyland, broadway musical, tourist friendly place you find now. Fourty second street was the center of danger in that area. From 7th avenue to 8th avenue on 42nd street were a nasty collection of porno theaters, sex shows, drug dealers, and places to buy knives. Criminals were better armed than the law and it was dangerous. I'm a musician and I was often out late, carrying expensive equipment and driving through rough neighborhoods. So at different times I bought knives, or batons to protect myself. I never had to use any of them (thank god). T was one store on the south side of 42nd right in the middle of that block. If you spent enough time talking to the chinese man behind the counter for him to be sure you weren't a policeman, he would take out a box from under the counter and sell you the real stuff. Not "fake" stars, real ones that were sharp and solid. Same with automatic knives. I bought read more
