Nice complete little group, soldier was drafted in February 1945 and got his wings on September 14, 1945. Group includes Ike jacket size 36R dated June 9, 1944, wool pants, size 30W 31L, khaki shirt, tie and garrison hat, shirt and jacket have 82 nd airborne patch, hat has glider para patch. Great scrapbook includes jump certificate, with embroidered oval wings, PX paratroops patch, small part of a parachute, Cool telegram which reads "Finished Jumps Friday stop wings are beautiful stop start demolitions School Monday", misc. photos and newspaper clippings, cavalry school certificate, draft certificate, scarce Paratroop training book from Fort Benning, GA dated 1945, back pasted down in book, page with sterling jump wings, glider wings with ovals two more 82 nd AB patches, his dog tags, and rank patches, and un-named Good Conduct medal. Then a group of 8 photo post cards showing jump training, other copies of army record and later school memorabilia. Also included is a neat letter on paratrooper letter head dated Oct. 1945 to his parents, discussing possible role of paratroops in the Pacific Occupation. With some very nice pics from a jump with gliders, etc. Nice complete group of 100% original insignia from and affordable non combat group.* Check out my feedback satisfaction guaranteed.
