LA PAZ COUNTY, ARIZONA NATURAL WIRE GOLD 'LV7' Nugget 23 mm (Total length measuring the curve) T his spectacular wire gold nugget was dug up in Arizona's Dome Rock Mtns. Our claims were situated in Arizona's La Paz County not far from Quartzsite. Weighing 13 grains (.84 gram), this is a monster piece of museum-grade wire gold. Those familiar with raw, native placer gold know what I'm talking about. This Alphanumeric, solid-gold, LV7 nugget was a one-of-a-kind find in a region not generally known to be a producer of wire gold. The wire filament is about 2.5 mm wide at the fattest end gradually reducing to 1.5 mm wide. A gold miner finds one like this once in a lifetime. It weighs 13 Grains!! I'd estimate the purity at between 850 and 900 fine. This nugget is from a collection guaranteed from Arizona, U.S.A. Dad would about jump up and down with delight whenever he would drywash a nice piece of color. I loved that man a lot. G old found in nature is a mineralogical wonder.
