This gorgeous 1986 Worlds of Wonder Teddy Ruxpin with Grubby are now available for adoption. I have been repairing and restoring these talking toys for many years now and they too have both been completely restored to great, clean, working condition!! The set you see in the video is the set that you will be receiving.Teddy has the white plastic tape player...no cracks, bumps or stains on his tape player..His body, fur and original cloth tag are all in pristine condition. I am listing this as gently used, since I did not pull them out of a box...but they both look remarkable. Teddy has the hinged cover and still has his original hang tag on the back of his vest. It has some creases in it, but is neat and legible.Teddy and Grubby will gently blink their eyes, and both their upper and lower mouth animate in sync with the story tapes. During their restoration process, they are completely disassembled and each component gone through inside and out...parts checked, repaired and/or replaced, thoroughly and meticulously cleaned inside and out and run through testing procedures prior to them being listed. Any parts replaced are replaced with the original components. These have NOT just been pulled from the attic or basement and listed on ebay.. these have been meticulously restored, cleaned, inside and out...not just surfaced cleaned, and certainly not steam cleaned!.... they work great, and they look like new.Included with Teddy and Grubby is a new replacement connector cable and six loose book and tape sets. The books and tapes are in excellent, used condition. No writing, torn pages, and the pages are intact, the books show little to no wear. All tapes play great. The book and tape titles are: The Airship, Grunge Music, Autumn Adventure, All About Bears, Teddy Ruxpin's Birthday and Teddy Ruxpin Lullabies. Also included in this lot is Teddy Ruxpin's Answer Box with two booklets and two matching cassettes. The titles are: Just About the Size of it and Counting is Fun. The answer box requires one 9 V battery. It connects into teddy and by inserting the matching tape, you can interact with Teddy. Grubby cannot be used when the answer box is hooked up, as they both require the same satellite jack from Teddy...so only one accessory item at a time can be used.Both Teddy and Grubby require 4 “C” batteries. Both battery boxes and cover are in excellent condition. Connected together, they make a wonderful set. I do not always know the original origin of the items that I restore and sell, but I know that these items are from a smoke free environment and all restorations are done in a smoke free home. I have described this item to the best of my ability, but should you have any questions or need more pics, I will be happy to oblige.
