Just in time for the holidays! You are bidding on a gorgeous vintage set of 88 Noritake pieces with 10 mini salt shakers. This exceptional porcelain is hand painted with white and cream colors, 22k gold beading, christmas ornaments, flowers, and scrolls. The pattern is called "Christmas Ball". It is Noritake's most popular pattern. Out of the 88 pieces, 5 cups are stamped with a blue "Nippon" mark called "Komaru Maruki" that was used at the beginning of 1910. The green Noritake mark with the letter "M" for Morimura surrounded by the wreath was used from about 1905-1926. The saucers are unmarked. 99% of the set's gold is in tact. The set includes: Eleven 10 inch dinner plates. Six 8 1/2 inch luncheon plates. Twelve 7 3/4 inch salad/dessert plates. Twelve 6 1/2 inch bread plates. Seven 7 1/2 inch soup bowls. Ten 5 1/4 berry bowls. Twelve 5 1/2 inch saucers. Ten cups, 3 1/2 inches in diameter by 2 inches high. Ten mini salt shakers. One large oval serving platter, 13 3/4 inches long by 10 inches wide. One oval serving platter, 11 3/4 inches long by 8 3/4 inches wide. One boat shaped celery dish 8 1/4 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide. One large, 2 handled serving bowl, 10 inches in diameter by 2 1/4 inches high. One sugar bowl with lid, approximately 6 1/2 inches from handle to handle by 3 3/4 inches high with lid. One creamer, 5 inches from handle to spout by 2 1/2 inches high. One mini mustard dish with lid, spoon, and attached underplate, approximately 3 1/2 inches wide by 3 1/2 high with lid. One butter dish with protruding handle, 5 1/2 inches in diameter. Out of all 98 pieces: one saucer's color is faded, one saucer's and two bread plate's inner gold rings are partially missing, one saucer's spout has a fleabite chip along the inside rim (which can be seen in the last picture) and some pieces have very tiny brown dots and t that are commonly found on china sets alike. Other than that, the set is in EXCELLENT condition considering its age with no cracks, chips, utensil scratches, and no gold loss that I can see. I am starting this auction with a low bid but I am sure the set will sell for what it's worth. Items must be paid for within 7 days. Buyer pays shipping, handling, and insurance. International shipping rates will be quoted upon request. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. Thanks for looking, good luck, and have a Happy Holiday Season!
