ITEM: Offered for your consideration on this auction is a Byzantine bronze oil lamp with bird decorations. MAKERâe(tm)S MARK: None. DATE: Dates from the 8th to the 10th century. MATERIAL: Bronze. WEIGHT AND DIMENSIONS: This bronze lamp weighs 12 ounces. If you wish to calculate your own shipping weight, please use my 55021 zip code. The lamp is 4 inches tall at the highest points and is 4 1/2 inches wide at the widest points. CONDITION: T is a heavy, dark to green uneven patina over the entire lamp. T does not appear to be damage to the piece other than the heavy patina. However, I am unfamiliar with this very early area of collecting so please examine the close up pictures to better judge the condition of this lamp. Last, please understand that this piece is old and is not in new, unused condition. MY GUARANTEE: I will guarantee this piece as being an original period piece. If the buyer determines by other more expert opinion that it is not a period piece, I will refund the purchase price. Furthermore, if the buyer finds that the description is grossly different from the one presented in this sale, I will reimburse the purchase price. The piece must be returned within seven days that an agreement is reached that the conditions of this guarantee have been met. Return shipping will be at the expense of the purchaser and a refund will not be made unless the piece is returned in the original auction condition. Sorry, but this guarantee does not accommodate bidders remorse. QUESTIONS: If you have questions regarding this sale, please email me at least a day before the end of the auction and I will attempt to answer them. I will also post or email additional pictures upon request. Questions later than a day before the end of the auction may not be received in time to offer an answer. INVOICING AND PAYMENT: Please wait until I have sent you an Ebay invoice, usually within 24 hours of auctionâe(tm)s end before submitting any payment. Please make payment within five days of the end of the auction. For overseas buyers I require payment by Paypal only. Overseas buyers are urged to contact me for shipping costs before bidding. SHIPPING: I use the USPO to ship items. The purchaser may choose Priority Mail or Parcel Post. Insurance is optional. However, if you choose not to purchase insurance, I will not be responsible for damaged or items lost in the postal system. Shipping overseas can add postal expense, so overseas bidders should contact for a shipping quote before bidding. OTHER ITEMS: I will be listing several other interesting antiques in the next day or two so please check out my other items !
