A RARE GROUPING OF 8 WHALE OIL LAMPS & ONE LARD LAMP! CIRCA 1820-1875!! I recently acquired the inventory of an early lamp and lighting repair shop in lower Manhattan (New York City) that was closed and boarded up in 1967. It contained an AMAZING VARIETY of lamp and lighting parts, pieces and complete lighting devices from ancient times to the 17th century to the late 19th century and every era in between, including fat and grease lamps, betty lamps, lard lamps, whale oil lamps, etc, etc, etc! I will be selling much of this "as found" inventory privately and on ebay in the upcoming weeks. Keep checking back @ echodale . T will be some real steals and deals! The descriptions won't be too elaborate, so please look at the photos carefully. They will be clear and detailed. What you see is what you will get. This auction includes 9 early lamps in rolled iron, copper and brass. They are in good well used condition with minor losses and expected use wear. Included is a partial Smith and Stonesifer patent lard lamp, 2 petticoat lamps, a brass pedestal lamp, a pigeon lamp and several hand and finger lamps. For size comparison, the largest hand lamp has a saucer base that is 7" in diameter . A RARE GROUPING OF EARLY FLUID LIGHTING!!
