~~~~~~~~~~~~~ INSTANT WALL DISPLAY SET OF NINE DIFFERENT PLATES & PLATTER VINTAGE BROWN & WHITE TOILE ENGLISH TRANSFERWARE For consideration we are pleased to offer this wonderful set of authentic, vintage-antique, brown transferware pieces each from various English potters and patterns. From Victorian fruits and florals and castles to Alpine scenery to quaint cottages, you will receive a lovely variety of authentic, vintage English wares. These pieces are all brown on white transferware . Each piece bears makers marks / backstamps from their respective English potters and manufacturers and are all in good condition unless noted otherwise. You'll receive these pieces: 1- Meakin Stratford Stage Plate This plate features a highly detailed English village complete with thatched roofs, a church and of course Stratford Stage being pulled by four horses. Onlookers wave the travellers goodbye. This plate too has a gentle scalloped edge with a slightly raised border. (has a tight crack which very scarcely shows on the front aroung the inner rim..you have to look for it and I do not feel it is a distraction for display at all) 1- Myott Bountiful Shallow Bowl- I absolutely love this pattern! It reminds me of Charlotte by Clarice Cliff of Royal Staffordshire, but I like this pattern even more so! It's difficult to find and the Victorian basket overflowing with fruits and flowers is beautiful! The edge is gracefully swirled. 1- J & G Meakin Romantic England shallow bowl This features a single cow in a pasture near a stream and bridge. Up above a castle is nestled amongst the hillside. The border is a beautiful blend of scrolls and Victorian roses 1 J & G Meakin Romantic England saucer plate This plate is the older version of the Romantic England series which depicted various historic English destinations was the newer version depicts unknown castles with cattle and pastoral scenes as the piece above. This particular plate has a slightly square shape and a lovely view of Holy Trinity Church at Stratford-on-Avon as it sits nestled behind a quaint pond. I love the border, being of small berries, delicate flowers and vines. 1 English Ironstone Staffordshire Castle Scene saucer This plate depicts a castle set way atop a cliffs edge with a winding road down below. A woman and her dog walk along the roadside. The border blends ivy, grape leaves, berries and flowers. 1 Grape leaf and Ivy plate Simply stated, this is just that...a small saucer with a border of grape bundles and ivy (So sorry, I goofed on this one...this is not English...thought it was when I put this together) 1 Tonquin plate by Clarice Cliff of Royal Staffordshire This highly collectible and sought after pattern depicts a large country or Colonial home nestled alongside a river bank...t are sailboats and and mountains in the background. Swans swim in the waters below the cascading waterfall beneath the bridge and a large figural urn full of roses is at the side. Stunning scallooped, Victorian scrolled, lush rose & peony border. 1 Stratford Stage saucer by J & G Meakin This has a beautifully scrolled and floral border on an almost solid brown ground. The edge is slightly scalloped. and lastly, a platter from A J Wilkinson by famed artist Clarice Cliff in the rare Harvest pattern. This piece has an aesthetic feel with a stunning floral moti'f which sweeps up from the left center around the outer edge of the platter.
