Two large chunks of chatoyant blue Pietersite with Quartz. From Namibia, Africa. Photos are taken of all sides of the Pietersite in natural light so that you can better see the color and quality of these two chunks of rough. Photos were taken while the Pietersite was dry. Both chunks weigh 1 pound 13.2 ounces together; 8.5 ounces for the more colorful; 1 pound, 4.7 ounces for the other. The larger chunk that appears more brown has a lot of blue Pietersite hidden under the surface. This specimen is from an estate sale that belonged to Chuck Simmons in Tucson, AZ. He was very knowledgeable about minerals and collected the best.
