Lot 933: AFRICAN GURO BOU MASK W 3 SPEAR DISPLAY IVORY COAST - This painted mask, which features a green elephant head, is presented on 3 spears. This mask was used during hunting ceremonies. The elephant represents the spirit of the forest and the reincarnation of the ancestors. Height 26` by 7` -Wood: wild rubber tree. Height with spears is approximately 60`. 2nd part of the 20th century.
