The handles are ornate on the front side with griffin and acanthus plant in the pure Renaissance style. The back is less charged. The blades are finely engraved and pierced in the art of the late Gothic-Renaissance style. The surface of the silver is frost looking (like Russian silver). The fork is superbly shaped as well.
