You are bidding on (98) stunning pieces of sterling silver flatware in storage box. The set is in the "King Richard" pattern made by the Towle Manufacturing Company of Massachusetts in 1932. Towle has been around since 1680 and remains a leader in the silver industry. The set's richly ornamented pattern was named after the most famous crusader, Richard "The Lion Hearted". The inspiration for this sterling flatware pattern comes from the shields carried by knights during the Crusades. Some pieces are marked "Towle Sterling 1932" Some have Just "Sterling pat 1932" Some have just "Towle Stertling" and are fitted in a chest that is lined with tarnishing-preventing cloth. Also included is several of the felt cloth like serving holders. This sterling silver flatware set would be a great addition for any collector or dinner entertainer! Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding and buying. I will send anyone additional photos if need be.....Sold as-found. Un-restored, un-washed, un-polished original condition.
