A very handsome *triple signed* Gents Vintage 1957 *J.W. BENSON, LONDON* wristwatch in teardrop lug *Solid 9ct Gold 34mm case * This piece is in fine original condition, running strong and ready to wear having been professionally serviced. Case: The superb solid 9ct gold case is fully signed inside. This is a larger sized case with a diameter of 34mm excluding the crown. It has excellent proportions and is of classic round form with gorgeous teardrop shaped lugs. This piece is the genuine article; all present and complete and running well. The case measures approx. 34mm diameter excluding the crown and from lug to lug it measures approx. 42mm. The inside back is marked ; 13851J.W.BENSON LTDMADE IN ENGLAND (9ct hallmarks for Birmingham 1957) A.L.D.826696 The case has no initials, monograms or engravings or inscriptions of any kind. There are some light surface marks commensurate with its age and some marks to the opening lip to the snap back, but no personal inscriptions, repairs or alterations; please see the many images . A really nice stylish piece in superb condition throughout. The watch has 16mm lugs and I have fitted it with a brand new Italian tan lizard grain leather strap with that I think compliments it nicely . Dial: The dial on this piece is in near mint condition as shown. This has not been cleaned or refinished and shows light honest ageing as seen. It has a silvered finish with applied gold numbers and gold dauphin hands. J.W. BENSONLONDON SWISS The crystal is new. The movement is a fine quality Swiss jewelled lever with bright nickel plates that is again clearly signed to the main winding gear; J.W. BENSON LONDON The calibre reference ETA 900 is marked to the plate by the balance. This piece is currently running strong and keeping excellent time and is ready to wear having just been professionally serviced. An extremely fine vintage J.W. Benson mechanical model in exquisite 9ct gold case ready to wear. This watch will come in a brand new fitted watch box.
