WALNUT STREET, DEVILS LAKE, MANITOU BEACH, MICH. , real photo postcard No. L-577 published by the L.L. Cook Company of Milwaukee, ca. 1946. This stunning, sharp, detailed real photo postcard features THE ROUND UP , a roadhouse / burger joint / drive-up restaurant that once operated on Walnut Street at Devils Lake in the town of Manitou Beach, Michigan . As you can see in the detail scans that I have added below, the entire building is covered with signs that list THE ROUND UP 's menu combined with classic DRINK Coca-Cola signs. At right, magazines for sale are displayed under the awning, and popcorn machine and postcard rack are visible through the window. At far left, another vacationland restaurant, The LIGHTHOUSE , advertises Sealtest ICE CREAM and CHARCOAL BROILED WEINERS . The sedan at left with the dented rear fender shows a 1946 OHIO license plate . Wow! Devils Lake and Manitou Beach are in Lenawee County . Postally unused with 1-cent stamp on reverse. Divided back, 3 1/2" x 5 3/8".
Condition Very good condition with light corner wear and tiny bend at center of bottom edge. Small spot of light red stain at lower right corner. Please e-mail () with questions before placing bid.
