FINE LATE 19THC TO EARLY 20THC CHINESE CARVED IVORY STATUES OF AN EMPEROR AND EMPRESS, EACH WITH SWORDS. STATUES INCLUDE A WOOD PLITH AND ARE JUST AMAZING IN THEIR DETAIL. THESE COME FROM THE ESTATE OF A WORLD TRAVELER AND COLLECTOR WHO ACQUIRED THESE DECADES AGO. IMPORTANT: This pair of Chinese statues are made of ivory and were brought into this country legally. We may only ship this item to a United States address in accordance with eBay policies and Federal Government Laws and Regulations. GREAT CONDITION WITH MINOR SOILING, A FEW VERY MINOR AGE LINES AND A SEAM SEPARATION IN THE HAIR DECORATION OF THE EMPRESS THAT COULD EASILY BE GLUED CLOSED...SEE PICTURE. EACH FIGURE IS 14" TALL AND 16" TALL WITH THE WOODEN PLITHS! THESE MAY BE SIGNED, BUT I DID NOT WANT TO PRY THEM OFF THE BASES (THEY ARE ATTACHED WITH THE TYPICAL METAL PINS) AS I WAS WORRIED ABOUT BREAKING THESE SUPPORT PINS. PRICED TO SELL.
