Beautiful hand carved, hand painted, solid mahogany, scale model of the Douglas A-1E "Skyraider" that actually dropped a used toilet over North Vietnam. LBJ's lousy management of the war had planes flying missions with half bomb loads to keep the sortie count up. One enterprising aviator decided to make good use of a retired toilet and personally delivered it to the folks up north. Model has a 18" wingspan and is 14.5" long. Solid mahogany base has Navy Wings carved in and the aircraft designation. We have 2 of these models in stock.This model was made by Griffin Aerospace Models who is the finest custom aircraft model maker in the business.
