This is a repro A-2 WWII US Army Air Corps flight jacket made by Avirex Limited of New York. It is a size 40 according to the size tag. It is goat skin and the leather has a dark brown color.The jacket has a minor scuff on the back of the collar and couple pin sized scuffs on the back of the jacket, but otherwise the jacket appears to be brand new. The liner is in mint condition. The measurements with the jacket zipped up: Across chest from the base of the armpit seams under the sleeves is 21.25 inches; from shoulder seam to base of the leather on the sleeve is 21.5 (this does not include the knit cuff which is an extra 3.25"); it is 19 inches from the throat closure to the base of the leather in front of the jacket (this does not include the knit waistband, which is an extra 2.5 inches); back of jacket from collar seam to the waistband is 21.5". The back of the jacket is made from one piece of leather. The side pockets do not have hidden slash pockets behind them as are found on most repros, this repro is spot on. The Markers tag is made to look like an original from a WWII jacket. T is a throat closure hook on the collar. T is one gromet under each pit for ventilation. Please email with questions.
