A-2. WWI/WWII French rank straps for coats. I'm not sure exactly what this type rank insignia is called, according to some references they are calots, others call them galons. These were worn across the middle of the chest, and either had hooks or buttonholes so they were removable. They were worn up through WWII, but were pretty much phased out after the war. These are for a senior NCO, warrant officer, and Lt. Show some normal wear, hard to find!
