Rare hand decorated Minton cabinet plate of a young Fairy Child with Butterfly Wings signed A. Boullemier one of Minton's famous talented artists around the mid 1870s. Plate measures 9 1/2 inches in circumference . The back of the plate has the impressed Minton's Mark along with a golden stamp that says Minton's, Davis Collamore & Co. Limited New York, Made in England. the back also has the serial number C394 No. 36 and what looks like "With Branch Extra"Plates Paint and Gold are in Perfect Condition Anton Boullemier left his native France in 1872 to work at Mintons at the invitation of M.L. Solon. Unquestionably one of the finest of the victorian ceramic artists. Boullemier worked on many of Minton's finest commissions including work for Royalty. Boullemier also decorated some of Brown-Westhead, Moore's most prestigious exhibition pieces.
