A French double singing bird automaton with a domed gilt brass cage containing two birds, one on a perch, the other seated next to it on the velvet ground, resting on a brass base with scrolling embossed decoration. Each bird has full movement in its beak, head, and tail, and moves its head as if listening while the other bird sings. Base marked, `Made in Paris.` 20.5`H x 11`Dia., Circa - Early 20th C.
