DONAN ANTIQUES ESTATE & COLLECTIONS OF DECORATIVE ARTS DESCRIPTION: Exquisite Flow Blue, Scinde, Oriental Stone, covered tureen with matching underplate made by, A. G. Alcock, c. 1839. Just an amazing, rare piece of, Flow Blue for your collection. Incised backstamp on tureen and underplate and blue stamp (Scinde) on bottom, see pictures. Tureen picture in book called, "Collector's Encyclopedia of Flow Blue, Second Series" by Mary Frank Gaston, pg. 124. CONDITION: No chips, cracks or repairs. T is some crazing, a very tight 1/4" hairline on rim of lid, I thought it was crazing at first. Also, tiny glaze pop(see picture) or missed glazing and a bruise on inside rim of tureen. T is nothing that takes away from the beauty of this piece, be very confident bidding, you won't be disappointed. DIMENSIONS: Tureen is, 8 1/2" handle to handle X 6" to finial on lid. I forgot to add to this to the condition of his tureen, t is a very tight stress hairline underneath the pedestal of the tureen and it does NOT go through, so you don't see it tureen is standing upright.
