You are bidding on a beautiful hand carved wooden oak pillar. The pillar is in a perfect condition, the only damage are three little holes on the top which can be easily restored. (Photo 5) The pillar has been used in a church in the Netherlands for religious purposes. Originally this was a part of an altar. In case an altar of a church is sold, which is of course not very often, the altar will be sold as one piece, including the pillars and all the other parts. So this item alone is very rare and a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy yourself a part a church altar..... On photo 6 you can see an example of an altar with pillars.
