Today I have up for auction an A.J. Foyt, Jr. / Indy 500 commemorative pocket knife. This knife was sold in the 1980's by the Ingersoll Rand tool company to commemorate 25 consecutive years of racing the Indy 500 by A.J. Foyt. On one side of the knife it has the Ingersoll Rand logo, A.J. Foyt's signature, the number 08922, "twenty five consecutive years, and Indianapolis 500. On the opposite side it reads 1958-1982, with the number 25 between the dates. The knife is a dull silver color and it has 3 blades. All of the blades are in excellent condition but t are a few smudges that I have attempted to clean off and could not. I have been told that this knife was unused by the owner, but it may have been demonstrated to others prior to my friend buying it. The box is in good condition however, the corners show some age and are a bit frayed. If you have any questions or would like more pictures (especially of the blades) please contact me and I would be happy to send them as soon as possible. This knife is in great condition and would be a nice addition to any collection that features auto racing, the Indy 500, A.J. Foyt, or for someone who wants a nice conversation piece. I start all of my auctions at $1.00 and t is no reserve so have fun bidding. Now for the boring stuff: I sell only to the United States. No international bidders please! Payment must be received within 36 hours from the close of auction. I will ship item out within 2 business days from a confirmed payment. Insurance is included in the shipping charges.
