Up for auction is a Japanese hanging scroll by Tsuchiya Hoshu (Hiroshi) 1841-1926. Born in Kishiwada, Osaka and was a famous scholar who went to Yamaguchi prefecture to study and understand Yamaguchi society. He was well known for his calligraphy and during the Meiji period he was a professor and became a principal for a small school in Osaka and Nara Women's College. The poem written was one of his favorites.Period : Taisho Period 1912-1926 SIZE: 76.5 inches( 194cm) long x 14 inches (35cm) wide. PAYMENT: Paypal ONLY.
