The spoon is new and unused. Stamped with 925S, designers signature, JUL 2006 and Georg Jensen's dotted oval. Delivered sealed in the original gift box. History: Since 1910, various known artists have collaborated with Georg Jensen to decorate the Annual Christmas Spoon. The simple form of the original spoon, created by A. Michelsen, has been preserved through the decades. The 2006 Annual Christmas Spoon is the 97th in a long line of unique and festive interpretations of Christmas. The 2006 Annual Christmas Spoon has been crafted by Danish designer Kim Buck. Titled "Expectations", the 2006 spoon depicts one of Scandinavia's most expected natural elements at Christmas, the snow. Carved in the soft powder snow are the trail marks of children's sledges, twisting and turning down the mountainside of Christmas' winter wonderland. The Christmas spoon is created from 24 carat gold plated sterling silver, decorated with enamel. Enameling is a specialist technique w molten glass and metallic oxides are applied.
