DESCRIPTION:

This auction is for a pair of original production GBD Prehistoric pipes in the Canadian shape. One boasts a Perspex stem while the other stem is Vulcanite. Both pipes bear identical nomenclature on the smooth portion of the shank bottoms: GBD (in a circle and followed by) Prehistoric (followed by) Made in England (over) 1405. Both have the original brass GBD logo inlays in the tops of the stems. They are 6-1/2 inches long with bowl heights of 1-3/4 inches and width across the top is 1-1/4 inch. The Perspex stemmed GBD Canadian weighs 33.5 grams while the other weighs 33.3 grams. Both are in excellent pre-smoked condition with minor stem scratching and clean bowls and bowl rims. These handsome pipes have been professionally cleaned and sterilized.
