An Original Vintage Theater-Used 8" x 10" Movie Still from Professor Beware, the 1938 Elliott Nugent slapstick chase comedy starring Harold Lloyd, Phyllis Welch, Raymond Walburn, Lionel Stander, Thurston Hall, William Frawley (best remembered as Fred Mertz on TV's "I Love Lucy"), Cora Witherspoon, and Sterling Holloway (long-time character actor who later provided voices for many cartoon characters, including Winnie the Pooh)

Want to know more about the condition of this item? This vintage still is in "very good to fine" condition. It has defects typical of photographs that are ten to eighty years old. Note that our small image of this still on this auction page leads to a really HUGE image of this still, so please look at that larger image, as it will certainly greatly help you know exactly what condition this still is in! But bear in mind that many vintage stills pick up light "scuff" marks or tiny creases (especially in the emulsion) over the years and those may not be apparent from our larger image, as they can be seen when the still is tilted in the light, but when the still is looked at "head on", you can either not see them at all or they are barely visible. It is likely that this still may have some such scuff marks, but I would think most collectors would be happy owning this still (since few people display items tilted to the light, so it is truly a minor defect!). Bear in mind that this is an ORIGINAL vintage still, and tfore it is sure to have some imperfections, but that goes with collecting vintage stills! 8x10 Stills are photographs printed on thin glossy paper that were created for all movies from the 1910s through the present day. Studios would often issue dozens of different stills for each movie, and they would be sent to theaters showing the movies. Starting in the 1960s, many collectors began reproducing stills, and it can be sometimes difficult to distinguish between original theater-used stills and reproductions (the main differences are the quality of the paper and the crispness of the photographic image). eMoviePoster only sells original vintage stills that either came directly from theater owners (or closed down theaters), or from poster exchanges, or from longtime collectors who purchased directly from either of the above, and we unconditionally guarantee that every still we sell is original!
