Glancer Donna Chaney - Animal Artistry's Boxing Shire finished by Liz Shaw - Arabian Acres Glancer is a mini / SM / stablemate size resin. He was meticulously prepped by myself and primed with a white primer. Using many layers of top quality pastels, his color was gradually built up from white through to a blood bay and then finally his completed base color, a near black bay with warm undertones throughout. His mane and tail have warm undertones also not just painted black and subtle grey roaning hairs. I then set about painting his extreme sabino markings using reference photos as my guide and many layers of watered down acrylics, t are NO brush strokes or base color showing through on this model. He has the most subtle roan flecking throughout that is barely visible to keep the effect soft and to scale but definitely t for those collectors and judges who like to take note of such minute details. He has been sealed throughout his many layers using Krylon Matt sealer and has a feel about him that you don't have to handle his finish with kid gloves.
