This is an extremely rare piece of Grueby Art Tile work. It is done in a wonderful semi-matte red glaze which is quite rare on a piece of Grueby. The tile is a fountain spout with a hole in the mouth for the water. It is a large 8' tile. The relief comes out almost 3' at the head. The condition is very good. There is one area on the bottom of the dolphins mouth that has a small chip. It is not very noticible as it blends into the red clay. The glaze treatment is quite incredible. This antique tile is extremely rare and should be welcomed into any arts & crafts environment.
