World War II Pilot, Bill Keeble's Complete Summer Flight Suit, Mae West B-4 Life Vest with Sea Dye Marker, Rochester Opticle AAF B-8 Goggles, High Lace Leather Jump Boots, Dog Tags, Shoulder Holster for the 1911 A1 Colt 45 Pistol made by Enger Kress and A post World War 2 Pilot's Survival Knife. I personally purchased these items from his estate about six years ago and they have been in my collection since. The flight suit still has a nice Painted Army Air Forces ensignia on the left shoulder the zipper works great and all buttons are present as well. The flight suit, Mae West, shoulder holster and B-8 Goggles are all in Very Good Condition. The boots are in good condition except for some stitching has come loose on the left side of the right boot between the leather and the sole. To the best of my knowledge these are rare Jump Boots. The survival knife is a little beat up but still looks good. I'd rate it a fair to good condition. Its not all ground down from sharpening but was left in an shed and the elements got to it. Some surface rust and the like but the scabbard looks good and the snap works. Like I said, this entire auction is from my personal collection and looks very impressive. It is one of the nicest Army Air Forces World War Two flight suits I have ever seen and the Mae West is Excellent and dated 1943 Army Air Forces. The Jump Style boots are rare and look great. See al pics for details. This is a true collection and came striaght from Mr. Keeble's estate after he passed away. The tag in the flight suit is in near mint condition and reads as follows, "Suit Summer Flying ANS 6550-AN-S-31A Size 36 Felt Novelty Mfg. Co. Inc Property US Government." I have never seen a flight suit manufactured by the Felt Novelty Company, this may be a rare suit. If you have any questions, please ask. Shipping will be $17.00 within the continental US, which includes insurance. Shipping will be more for overseas buyers. Overseas buyers must pay by Pay Pal. If you like or collect military antiques, take a look at my other auctions!!
Please realize that I am not sure if these are Jump Boots. They look like it to me because they have higher ankles than other WWII Boots I have and the seam across the reinforced toe looks like that of Jump Boots. Also, standard World War II boot laces are not long enough for them. Research I did on the internet stated that jump boots had between 11 and 13 eyelets depending on size, these have 11. One website that outlines the construction of WWII jump boots is Olive Drab Dot Com, wich states "In August of 1942 the "Boots, Jumper, Parachute" was standardized, atall laced boot with 11 to 13 pairs of lacing eyes depending on thefoot size." Please feel free to ask any questions you like. I WILL SHIP WORLD WIDE AT YOUR EXPENSE, INCLUDING CANADA. *** I WILL SHIP WORLD WIDE AT YOUR EXPENSE. OVERSEAS BUYERS MUST PAY BY PAY PAL ***
