Found in New England and up for sale without reserve is a great looking early to mid 19th century American Pierced Tin Candle Lantern . It is all original except for an old "make-do" looped wire hanger (see last photo) that was added at some time in its history. The piercing is very decorative and there is a very large punched heart on the back side of the lantern. (See photo 5). The condition is very good with age appropriate rust and paint wear. The door hinges and clasp fastener still work properly and the candle socket is still firmly attached. There are some shallow dents around the bottom edge. Measures: 13-3/4" high x 5-1/4" wide. Please view all photos and contact me with any questions or concerns BEFORE bidding. Thank you.
