As pictured, up for auction is this amazing Vintage Alabaster Marble Stone Pedestalled Fruit Bowl . It's marked ABF, Genuine Alabaster, Hand Carved, Volterra, Made In Italy. WOW, what a beautiful stately, decorative piece! It's large, approx 13 5/8" in diameter, and stands approx 6 5/8" tall. The pedestal base is approx 4 5/8" in diameter, and the pedestal alone is approx 4" tall. The colors are spectacular with earthtone clay browns, grey and cream . The condition is very nice with a few tiny nick flaws around the perimeter, and only one 1/4" chip on the edge (pictured), however it's shallow, isolated and terminated, and does not signifcantly diminish from the vintage beauty of this wonderful Italian period piece of workmanship!! Please examine the pictures closely for condition. I took four (4) pictures of the pedestal base , looking upward toward the bottom of the bowl in 90 degree turns, so you can get a full view. The last two pictures are of nicks and the small chip. Feel free to email me with any questions. Shipment will be made within one day of receipt of payment. Have fun bidding and ! BTW... along with this piece came some stone fruit. They also may be made of alabaster. I chose to auction the set off separately. Please look for it in my other auctions if you're interested.
