Description: Unknown manufacturer and pattern, but a lovely bowl nonetheless! A 16-point hobstar in the center; three six-point flashed stars; three âeoebutterfliesâe; perfect sawtooth edge. The âeoebutterfliesâe consist of heavy miter cuts with strawberry-diamond wings, a fan for the head & antennae, and cross-hatching for the body. T is a subtle stepping motif at the tops of the âeoewings.âe Well cut, heavy, thick, watery blank. I really appreciate the flashed stars as opposed the more mundane hobstars or pinwheels, and the whimsical, stylized butterflies. You'd think this would be an easy one to identify, but I haven't been able to discover the maker/pattern yet. Size: 8âe across x 2âe tall. Condition: Very fine. T is amazingly little surface wear on the exterior bottom (w it rests on the table), and none (or virtually noneâe¦.none that I could see) on the interior. The teeth are in outstanding condition with no chips or fleabites -- only the most minor abrasion (indeed, it looks new). Be sure to take a close look at the sawtooth edging in the photos. The only exterior flaws are a few fleabites. Signature: None found. Blacklight: Glows whitish yellow under a blacklight. (C.f. /articles/art21.htm for more information.) Blank: Very thick (3/8âe), highly reflective with a silvery cast, a watery feel and look. Shipping: read more
