American Brilliant Period Ideal Cut Glass Company "Heavy cut" Sunbeam Pattern Celery You are bidding on a rare item in very nice condition from a remarkable cut glass collection... This beauty weighs in at an unbelievable 2 lbs 5 ounces! It measures 11 X 5 X 2 inches. A view from the top... The bottom view... We photographed this piece in the same position as the picture showing the Sunbeam Pattern in the Ideal Cut Glass Company catalog reproduced by the ACGA... The cane cut on the inside of a hobstar did not appear to be done by other companies. If you know of another company that cut it, I'd love to know who they were. 's an internal pattern detail from this amazing celery tray... The glass blank used is an incredible 1/2 inch thick! Normally you don't see anything this thick unless the piece is a punch bowl or very large piece. But Ideal Cut Glass Company had "light cut" and "heavy cut" patterns, and this is one of the heavy ones. 's an external pattern detail of the cane (two-cut octagon)... Another exterior view of some meticulous cross-hatching and a closeup of some fans... T are a few things wrong with this piece.
