Abraham Lincoln U.S. Mint Bronze Medal by George Morgan. The medal measures 3 inches in diameter, 1/4 of an inch thick and weighs 227.4 grams (7.328 troy ounces). The medal is in excellent condition, fully intact and has no dings, dents, cracks or chips. The face of the medal features Abraham Lincoln's image & reads ABRAHAM LINCOLN. Tha reverse side of the medal features a wreath designs with other designs and reads INAUGURATED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES MARCH 4, 1861. SECOND TERM MARCH 4, 1865. ASSASSINATED APRIL 14, 1865. The medal comes with a card that is hand written & reads 224 STRUCK ABRAHAM U.S. MINT MEDAL BY GEORGE MORGAN CIRCA 1886 AC 76 MM KING S18 CONSIDERED BY MANY TO BE ONE OF THE FINEST ARTISTIC EFFORTS EVER STRUCK AT THE MINT.
