Beautiful VINTAGE Bistrot Set with a vintage Torsade Swirl glass and Yellow Rimmed Saucer General Background: YVONNE Glass - This is a beautiful mint condition absinthe YVONNE glass circa 1905. The dose area in the base of the glass is distinctive to antique absinthe glasses, for the absinthe dose measured before adding water. A very classic, common YVONNE is elegant and well known. No damage whatsoever with narrow shape and stirdy, wide base (approximately 7 1/4 " tall Very nice Saucer: Saucers were used in French bistros in order to tally the total bar tab for absinthe drinkers during the belle epoque era. This saucer is in very good condition with perfect paint fading on the edge which is tyical of certain saucer manufacturers from this time. Hard to Find these - Valued conservatively at $40 Spoon: This represents the Les Trefles #1 design, with "BTE S.G.D.G. in very good condition. This spoon is made with the shiny, "Extra Blanc" material that was an alloy called Maillechort (named after the inventors) which comprised copper, zinc and nickel and was designed to imitate silver. A spoon in this condition ("Excellent") is still very usable if you are planning it for use rather than display. Valued conservatively at $35Return Policy: Items are all Insured.
