From my personal vintage jewelry collection: Up for auction is this absolutely FABULOUS Weiss necklace, wide cuff bracelet, (2) brooches, and earring set. The rhinestones are large and lovely, each piece consisting of, and centered around, large, foil-backed, faceted, stones, all in a brilliant fuchsia color in several sizes of marquis, round, and teardrop shapes. Surrounding these magnificent stones are several sizes of sparkling-clear pave'-set rhinestones. All stones are prong-set in bright silver-toned metal. This set is in wonderful condition, created in a 3-dimensional design that is one of my very favorites. I hope my photos bring out just some of it's beauty, but am afraid that they make the pieces appear darker than they really are, so please bear with me on this one. The design is one used frequently by Weiss, still pretty difficult to find. The bright fuchsia/clear shades are always very desirable and relatively hard to find, especially in this design. The more I learn about this versatile designer, the more I am continually surprised and impressed. This design has become a favorite of mine, quite intricate and amazing, given the level of detail.All pieces are signed "WEISS" on their backs, the necklace, cuff bracelet, and layered flower brooch in oval cartouches on the backs . The "leaf-style" brooch and earrings are signed on the bcks as well. Absolutely breathtaking! All fuchsia stones appear bright and clear, with virtually no wear to them or to the extremely shiny silver-toned metalwork. T are no stones missing, and t are a few in the "leaf" brooch and earrings that are darker than others. Most all stones just shine brilliantly! This set is of excellent quality and is very wearable. It is absolutely amazing to find one in this wonderful condition. Under magnification, I do detect a few of the tiniest rounds that look a bit darker than others, but this is certainly not detracting in the least from the set's overall beauty. And they are ONLY on the earrings and leaf -shaped brooch, not the necklace, bracelet, or layered "rose" brooch.The adjustable necklace measures approx. 16 inches long, jeweled end to end, and 1 1/4 inches wide at the centerpiece drop, and is a very wearable size and weight. The huge cuff bracelet is as well, and measures approx. 7 3/8 inches long and 1 3/8 inches wide. T is a nice, tight clasp, and a working safety chain. It is extremely heavy and quite magnificent. The multi-layered "rose" brooch is spectacular, and measures approx. 2 1/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches.The "leaf" brooch is wonderful as well, and measures approx. 2 inches long by 2 1/4 inches at its widest point.The glamorous climber earrings are fabulous also, and measure approx. 1 1/4 inches long by 5/8 inch wide at their widest points. They are the clip-on style, and in quite a beautiful design that is breathtaking, along with the other pieces in the set.This is an exquisite and treasured Albert Weiss grande parure! Always beautiful, well-constructed, and always in style.
