Hi and thankyou for viewing this auction!!! This auction is for an absolutelyfantastic Retire Steuben Crystal Audubon Plate "Flamingo" - NR . This is a fantastic vintage Steuben piece. As an aside, if you love Steuben I have quite a few pieces of extraordinary Steuben this week. This plate is one of a series depicting the Audubon birds. This is actually from Steuben describing the plates. " In the 1940's--1950's, Steuben Glass introduced an spectacular series of 10"D. copper wheel engraved plates with each one depicting the exact replica of an Audubon Bird print. The extraordinary detail of the engraving reflects the superior craftsmanship from this era in the history of the company. In total, there were 21 different birds featured in this series." The plate measures 10” in diameter. The Steuben name is etched on the back of the plate near the bottom, just below the bird. The condition of the " Flamingo " plate that it is free from chips, cracks, etc. There are light superficial scratches and I have provided pictures for your review. These plates are quite rare and increasingly more difficult to find. This will make a fantastic addition for your collection or a very special one for that someone special in your life.
