This is an absolutely stunning Large and heavy Victorian Solid Silver Snuff Box crafted by the highly sought after Victorian Silversmith Deakin & Francis , the decoration is breath taking with a engine turned decoration to both the top and bottom,it has the most beautiful serpentine shape to the edges with a smooth finish, this is in fantastic condition, lid is centred by engraved initials in a circular cartouche, it sparkles, this Victorian snuff box is outstanding quality, its been made with a good gauge of silver, the snuff box still snaps shut as it would have done all those years ago, the lid still stays open at any angle as the hinges as in excellent condition, my words and photos dont do it justice at all, fully hallmarked, this isnt a small snuff box but of a very good size Maker...........Deakin & Francis Assay Office.......Birmingham Date...........1897 making it 115 years old Measurements..........1 3/4 cm high, 7 1/4 cm width...4 3/4cm depth Weight............. 83g Condition..............fantastic condition This will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice, All Postage Costs Include Insurance All Antique silver items will show some signs of wear, which only adds to the history of the object, if you are looking to buy pieces in Mint Condition then please think before bidding, read more
