IMAGINE ATTENDING A SALE OF OLD STORE STOCK IN A LITTLE TOWN IN NORTH CAROLINA AND FINDING A CACHE OF VINTAGE PAPERDOLLS, ETC.? The item for auction is one of those rare, once in a lifetime, finds. 1959 Whitman SLEEPING BEAUTY paperdoll set with 6 paperdolls, two sets of uncut clothes and an outstanding tri-fold album from Disney. This is old store stock and nothing has been removed, played with or disturbed. It's just like it was 50 years ago!! The front of the fold out pictures Sleeping with a handsome Prince in tights and a medieval knight cloak and pointed shoes. The set folds out so that t are two pockets on each side with clothes and one pocket with the undisturbed paperdolls (6). The Disney art on the inside is hard to picture, but as you can see it is a tree branch in the forest with a meadow (?) in the background. Soft and colorful. It's just like you would find on the shelf of a store 50 years ago. The colors are true and the corners look great.
