This is a great bangle and a ONE OF A KIND in my collection for awhile. A UNIQUE DESIGN CHUNKY THICK TOTALLY ROUND TUBULAR BLACK CARVED THROUGH TO YELLOW CREAM has been carved back to the inside color to make this LINE ALL AROUND SPLIT TO THE TOP AND BOTTOM ABSTRACT MOD design. This is the same method used in similarly done vintage bakelite bangles, w t is a a color over a base color either laminated or overdyed, then carved to reveal the inside color. It is very heavy. This piece is made of a super top of the line excellent modern French Bakelite material that feels and looks like it's vintage bakelite, because it is heavier than lucite, it is seamless, but does not test yellow swab with 409 or Simichrome polish as vintage bakelite bangles do. It tests with a strong hot water smell distinguishing it from lucite which has no odor when heated. It is smaller inside than average at 2 and 3/8" across the inside with walls that are perfectly tube round and a huge 3/4" thick ALL AROUND! I can easily slip this on my average hand and wrist, but as always final sale so know your size. No damages the carving is excellent, and the only one I have, this is unique as it was hand carved.
