Very Old Abused Sword Blade. Early 1800’s. It appears that someone took a sander and then a buffer to this blade. I doubt that it ever looked worse than it does now. When I purchased this blade it had a very nice hilt on it, an American version of the British 1803 Saber, and that is going on a good period blade. Description: 30.5” single-edged curved blade, 1.23” at widest, .27” at thickest. Broad fuller each side, from ricasso nearly to point. 5.12” long tang. Condition: Blade is very bright and heavily pitted. Crack about 4” from ricasso runs thickness of blade and about half it’s width, blade is bent at this point, as well. Shipping and Insurance: Buyer pays for cost of mailing. Insurance required on items over $100. Terms: Paypal, personal checks . If you don’t like it, send it back, I’ll refund your money.
