Acoma Pueblo Native American Indian Pottery Large Eyedazzler Vase by Melissa Antonio
This unique piece of Native American slipcast ceramic pottery features the eye dazzling designs of well known Acoma artist Melissa Antonio (Acoma, Red Corn & Sun Clans, b. 1965). Melissa comes from a family of artists, including her mother, Lillie Concho, and her mother-in-law, Mildred Antonio. Melissa is known for her precise optical black-on-white patterns known as "eyedazzlers." She has won numerous awards at Inter-tribal Indian Ceremonial, Gallup; New Mexico State Fair; and the Heard Museum Show, Phoenix. This large eyedazzler vase has a colorful geometric design on the top surrounded by eyedazzler designs around the circumference. It measures 5.1" tall and 7.1" in diameter with a 22.3" circumference.
